SENCO

Are you a confident, proactive educator looking for a role where you can lead and make a real impact? We’re seeking a dynamic SENCO/Cover Teacher to join a warm, community-focused primary school that values teamwork, inclusion and helping every child “learn, grow and flourish.” Why this role stands out: In this small, friendly school, your week will be split between two days leading the SEND provision and two days providing class cover. This unique combination offers both meaningful leadership responsibility and hands-on classroom experience — perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to shape practice while staying connected to teaching. Key Responsibilities: • Lead SEND provision: assess needs, plan interventions and monitor progress. • Work closely with staff, families and external agencies to ensure inclusive support for all learners. • Teach and provide cover across year groups, ensuring continuity and high-quality learning. • Use your initiative to identify improvements and contribute to whole-school development. • Foster positive relationships and champion an inclusive, supportive school culture. Ideal Candidate Qualities: • Strong understanding of SEND and experience across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. • Confident in leadership tasks and able to guide colleagues effectively. • Flexible, adaptable and happy to alternate between SENCO duties and classroom cover. • A real team-player with excellent communication skills and a positive, solution-focused mindset. What’s on offer: • Competitiv Salary (£34,398 - £52,490) + SEND Allowance. • Supportive senior leadership and a close-knit staff team. • Varied role offering valuable leadership experience in a small-school environment. • A welcoming community with a real family feel.
